US truck shippers prep for higher 2019 spending

As the calendar turns to September, company executives are talking with their transportation managers about budgets for 2019 as trucking rates are expected to climb again but at a slower rate than this year. A little less than a year ago, J.B. Hunt Transport Services warned shippers about a 10 percent climb in transportation budgets in 2018. Their prediction turned out to be prescient in nature.
